We’re Henry & Julia – dance partners, teaching duo, and newlyweds who fell in love through West Coast Swing. Our journey began back in 2019, since meeting at a WCS festival in Germany.
We had almost lost each others sight during the pandemic times, but once the dancing world has re-established itself back, there was no chance we wouldn’t cross our paths again.
Finally, in 2024, we took the ultimate step straight from the social floor to marriage and Julia’s moving to the UK.
Henry leads (mostly), Julia follows (mostly), but we’re both fluent in both roles — and love helping others master both sides of the dance.
With Julia’s extensive background in all kind of dancing and Henry’s years in Ceroc, we bring both artistry and playfulness to every class.
Our style of teaching is famously nerdy: we’re obsessed with clean technique, connection, and making the complex feel if not simple but at least structured and therefore achievable.
In our normal life Henry is a scientist with a PhD in immunology (yes, really), and Julia is a specialist in nutrition, female hormones, and biohacking. So don’t be surprised if your posture, energy, and confidence all improve in our classes!
Oh, and one more thing: Henry is funny. Julia is pretty. And we both love performing almost as much as we love teaching 😅
